This working group will work with the Celtic Affairs web portal development group regarding guidelines and processes to collect, maintain and use information about our Celtic assets.
The group will also work in partnership with Tourism, Heritage and Culture (THC) and regional Destination Marketing Organizations to promote these assets, including the work already being done within the provincial Tourism department.
Once the collection of assets begins generating information, it will be possible to sort the information and use it to pinpoint economic possibilities and tourism potential that is currently not developed or is under-utilized.
Another focus will be the exploration of existing relationships between provincial and municipal governments in New Brunswick and their counterparts in Scotland Ireland and Wales, to see if there are further benefits to be gained. The same approach will be taken to existing private sector business operations between New Brunswick and the other countries.
More importantly, this work will help to identify areas where new inroads may be made, and where resources may be focused in areas still untapped.
